NoRey is an up and coming band that’s ready for stardom in the Seattle music scene. With a signer/guitarist from Columbia, a guitarist from US, a violinist from Romania, and a guitarist/drummer, bassist and signer from England, their reggae and rock influences produce a unique sound that can only represent their collection of international musicians.

Flight to Mars 10th Anniversary benefit tour

In celebration of their 10th anniversary, Flight to Mars, the UFO tribute band featuring Mike McCready, Gary Westlake, Paul Passereli, Mike Musburger, Ty Bailie and Tim DiJulio, will embark on a 7-date west coast benefit tour, which begins on May 14th in Santa Ana and ends May 23th in Seattle. Along the way, Flight to Mars will be joined by several local artists in each city, culminating in a hootenanny of artists that have opened for the band in the past ten years in Seattle. The benefit tour is in support of two organizations close to McCready’s heart; CCFA’s Camp Oasis and Advocacy for Patients.

The Wishlist Foundation, a Pearl Jam fan nonprofit organization, is hosting VIP fundraiser pre-parties right before each show in every city on the tour. Each VIP attendee will receive a laminate pass to the show, catch the sound check, enjoy delicious appetizers, cash bar and goodie bag. During the fundraisers, VIPs will have the chance to mingle with Mike McCready and the other members of Flight to Mars.

Awkward Moments with Men

In my book, This All Encompassing Trip, you’ll notice that many characters come and go throughout the story. It’s always nice to hear about the people that you only encounter briefly throughout your journey. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s not. This is one of the good ones.

If you’ve read the book in detail (and I know that you have), you’ll remember a local musician named Shannon in Hamilton. She brightened up our day in the Steel City by playing us a delightful song while sitting on the pavement of the parking lot.

Since then, she has gone on to Nashville and enjoyed some success in country music as Shannon Lee Briggs. And now she has co-written a book.

Awkward Moments with Men has officially been released – fittingly – on valentine’s day. Shannon Lee Miller, now, is the Canadian blonde, while Megan Leight Byrd is the American brunette. “Belonging in the hapless, hilarious, if not slightly sordid family of wordsmiths, Awkward Moments with Men introduces two strikingly original and endearing voices into the literary landscape. May you laugh, commiserate, and start a fund to help them pay for all the therapy they’re going to need once their parents read this.”

Infinitum Limited is the design company that I co-founded with my partner Sophie just over a year ago. Our first project was publishing the book This All Encompassing Trip to overwhelming success.
